Mayoral candidate Dorothy Brown continues “Listening Tour” with next stop on the Far Southside

(CHICAGO) – October 8, 2018 – Mayoral candidate Dorothy Brown will continue her Chicago Listening Tour on Tuesday, October 9, 2018  from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at  Greater New Mount Eagle M.B. Church, 12301 S. Michigan Ave.  There she will hear from the communities of RoselandAshburn, AuburnGreshamBeverlyWashington HeightsMt. Greenwood, and Morgan Park.

During September Brown visited with resident in the Southeast side communities of Avalon Park, South Chicago, Burnside, Calumet Heights, South Shore, South Chicago, South Dearing, East Side, Hegewisch, and South Shore. Issues common to many of Brown’s “Listening Tour” stops included police brutality, violence, unemployment, and high property taxes, all issues citizens want to see addressed by the next Mayor of the city of Chicago.

Each of Candidate Brown’s meetings are documented, and the information gathered will be used to help formulate Brown’s platform for moving the city of Chicago forward.

As she stated when she announced her bid for Chicago’s mayor, Brown believes to make better choices for the entire city, residents must be heard and their opinions must be considered.  This Tour is one tool Brown is using to effectively set goals for the city of Chicago under a Brown administration.
