Mayoral candidate Dorothy Brown continues “Listening Tour” with visit to near southwest side
(CHICAGO) – August 2, 2018 –Mayoral candidate Dorothy Brown will continue her well-received Chicago Listening Tour on Tuesday, August 7 at Zion Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 7010 S. Union Street. The forum will include the communities of Englewood, West Englewood, Chicago Lawn, West Lawn, Clearing, Fuller Park, Gage Park, and West Elsdon. As she stated when she announced her bid for Chicago’s mayor, Brown believes to make better choices for the entire city, residents must be heard and their opinions must be considered. This Tour is one tool Brown is using to effectively set goals for the city of Chicago under a Brown administration.
To date, Candidate Brown has visited multiple communities, including those on the mid and near south sides, the Loop, and the west side. Each stop has also included a walking tour of the neighborhood where the candidate engages with residents and asks them to join the meeting to share their specific issues. This will be the case during next week’s tour. Each meeting is documented and the information gathered will be used to help formulate Brown’s platform for moving the city of Chicago forward.
