WHO: Mayoral Candidate Dorothy Brown
WHAT: Press Conference to Kickoff off “Listening Tours”
WHEN: Today, June 19, 2019
WHERE: Project Hood Leadership and Economic Opportunity Center
6330 South King Drive. Chicago, IL
WHY: When Dorothy Brown announced her candidacy for Mayor of the city of Chicago this past April, she vowed to be a Mayor for all of Chicago. She stressed that in order for Chicago to be a world class city, leaders must be informed and motivated by the needs and wishes of their constituents. Chicago is facing grave issues including assault being perpetrated on our children within CPS, violence in our communities as evidenced by the rash of murders and shootings this past weekend, and lack of economic development and jobs in communities where it is needed most. Brown believes to make better choices for the entire city all residents must be heard and their opinions must be included as she sets her goals for the city of Chicago. Citizens attending the Listening Tour may also register to vote.
